Resilience to Resist
A one hour weekly virtual group for resourcing and action
These times are disorienting, overwhelming, and often exhausting. Maybe you’ve found yourself asking, "What do I do?" and feeling paralyzed, unsure of how to respond to the onslaught of horrifying policies. Or maybe you’re already deep in action, but you need more space to ground into nourishment and resilience.
Resilience To Resist is an answer to the call of these times.
It’s a 1-hour weekly online group designed to help you move out of numbness, overwhelm, and depletion, and into action, vitality, and connection in ways that work for your life.
So many of us are deeply needing to reground, recenter, and reconnect—not just for personal wellness, but to have the resilience to act individually and collectively on behalf of what matters to us.
Whether you’re a seasoned activist or someone who has never engaged politically but wants to start, this space is for you.
In our hour together each week, we will:
🌀 Ground for 30 minutes in mindfulness, somatic, relational, and Work That Reconnects practices to help us cultivate resilience, center, and presence.
🌍 Review a 10-minute political recap of key analyses from the week, helping us make sense of unfolding events. This will include 1) framing the actions of the Trump administration, and 2) strategies from movement organizations and leaders* (listed below) to address them.
✊ Engage with a 10-minute action plan where we’ll review a menu of 8-10 curated actions from movement leaders*—concrete, accessible ways to show up, no matter your experience level or capacity.
You’re invited to come exactly as you are. Whether you're feeling fired up or completely drained, you’ll leave more resourced, connected, and ready to take action.
Meeting Schedule
There will be two weekly groups to choose from:
Group 1: Wednesdays at 12 noon Pacific — starting Wednesday, April 9th
Group 2: Wednesdays at 5pm Pacific — starting Wednesday, April 9th
Important Note: Sessions will be recorded and sent out, however attending in real time is strongly recommended! One important source of resilience is being connected with a group that is resourcing and acting together.
Sign-Up & Pricing
To cultivate cohesion and momentum, sign-up will happen on a monthly basis (registering for 4 sessions at a time). To dedicate time during the week to sift through news, analyses, and movement leaders’ updates, I am letting go of several therapy slots. I have priced this offering to support my livelihood as I prioritize this project. Inclusion is very important to me, so I am offering tiered pricing (see guidelines below). No one turned away for lack of funds. It is important to me that this group is available to everyone. Please reach out to me directly If you want to participate at a lower or no monetary fee: annabgriswold@gmail.com
Meet Your Facilitator
I’m Anna-Brown Griswold (she/her, white identified) — trauma psychotherapist, mindfulness teacher, activist, and mother—committed to weaving healing, justice, and presence into all that I do. Living on Coast Salish/Duwamish land, known as Seattle, I have spent the last twenty-five years exploring how to integrate the transformative power of meditation, the depth of psychotherapy, and a strong foundation in anti-racist practice to challenge and dismantle oppression. My work is an ongoing experiment in bridging personal and collective liberation.

This group is designed to provide connection, education, and resourcing, but it is not a substitute for psychotherapy, medical treatment, or mental health care.
You may find the experiences in this group to be healing and supportive, but participation does not constitute a therapeutic relationship, nor does it replace individualized professional support. If you are in need of therapy or mental health treatment, I encourage you to seek care from a licensed professional.
By participating, you acknowledge and understand the nature of this group and take full responsibility for your well-being.
The Framing of Resilience to Resist
This space is rooted in the understanding that we are living through a time of profound transformation—what many call the Great Unraveling or the Great Turning. The unsustainable systems that have shaped our world are inevitably breaking down, and as this unfolds, our work is to reduce harm and suffering—for both humans and the more-than-human world.
Resilience to Resist takes a big tent approach. If we are going to stem the tide of authoritarianism, we need each other—across differences in worldview, strategy, and ideology. This space welcomes those working to reinstate more progressive policies within the current system, those advocating for deep structural change, and everyone in between. What unites us is a shared commitment to stopping the movement toward fascist dictatorship and resisting oppression in its many forms.
At the core, this group is about cultivating resilience—not just to endure but to resist, adapt, and transform in ways that move us toward collective liberation. Together, we strengthen our capacity to show up, hold complexity, and care for ourselves and each other as we navigate these times.
Welcome. Your presence, your strategies, and your humanity matter here.
